MiniPainting #31

300.00

This is a MiniPainting, otherwise known as a ‘Little box of happiness’.

Oil and Varnish on mounted plywood. 21 x 13 cm x 2 cm deep.

It can be displayed as a piece by itself on a wall, shelf or table or displayed in combination with other works, as an accent to another painting, or to compile a puzzle story with other MiniPaintings.

This work is made using my signature technique with translucent layers of oil paint and varnish. The surface is highly reflective gloss, giving an intense depth to the colours, and a playful composition of lightness and darkness.

Works can be sent by post (Plus P&P) or collection from my studio in Catford, London (SE6 4RU)

All of my MiniPaintings are handmade with love at my studio in Catford, South London, including making the boxes on which I paint. The rounded edges and details on the sides of the paintings make them into sculptural objects that you can put anywhere. I work with the natural markings of the wood, knots and grain, often incorporating them into the design of the painting.

There are no fixings included, the painting is designed to be flush with the wall by hanging from from a screw in the wall (or 2 if desired), against the inside edge of the frame.
