I am interested in how to document the essence of something, of what is felt, or embodied within a person or a place. My projects involve the investigation of space and place through the lens of subjectivity, memory and the imagination. I use stories as working material, both autobiographical and the stories of other people, as well as exploring the physical and subjective notions of a ‘journey’ as a performative methodology. My project-based work is site and situation specific and incorporates performance installation, interactive drawing, embodied mapping and docu-narrative video. Below are a selection of past projects (2008-2019) arranged loosely by category. You can also click to see more about my ongoing project “Unmapping” and collaborations with Livingmaps Network.
